The Allocate By feature is a versatile portfolio analysis tool that allows you to view and analyze your investments from multiple perspectives. This powerful feature is particularly valuable for Limited Partners (LPs) invested in multiple private equity or venture capital funds, offering a comprehensive view of diverse portfolio compositions.

How to Use Allocate By

  1. Access the Feature:

    • Navigate to your Main Vyzer Dashboard

    • Look below the "My Portfolio" title

    • Find the sub-headline "Allocate by"

  2. Choose Your Allocation:

    • Click on "Allocate by" to open the drop-down menu

    • Select your desired allocation method, such as:

      • Holding entity

      • Risk level

      • Liquidity profile

      • Sponsor

      • Asset classes

      • And more

  3. Apply Data Layers:

    • After selecting your allocation, use the data layers feature

    • Apply different metrics to your chosen allocation, such as:

      • Contributions

      • Distributions

      • ROI

  4. Analyze Your Portfolio:

    • Use the applied metrics to drill down into the performance of your portfolio

    • Gain insights based on your chosen allocation and metrics
