When an asset (or liability) is created, it is classified under a specific asset class and category, each with its own unique attributes.

For Synced Assets

If your asset is synced from a financial institution, you can change its asset class and category directly in Vyzer:

  1. Go to Portfolio SettingsSynced Institutions.

  2. Locate the institution and expand the list of accounts.

  3. Toggle off the account, select “Delete this asset and all its history”, and then toggle it back on.

  4. When re-syncing, you’ll be prompted to choose a new asset class and category.

For Manually Created Assets

Currently, if you have manually added an asset or liability, it cannot be reclassified under a different asset class or category after being saved. However, we’re happy to assist—just reach out with the asset’s name and the new category, and our team will make the change for you.

You’ll receive a notification once the update is completed.

Coming Soon!

We're actively working on a feature that will allow you to reclassify assets independently—stay tuned for updates!
