Vyzer makes it easy to sync your financial accounts, ensuring accurate tracking of your assets.
🔹 You can change an asset’s category only for synced accounts.
🔹 If an asset was created manually or by the Magic Box, it cannot be reclassified by you. Please reach out to support for assistance.
Accessing Your Synced Institutions
You can manage your synced institutions in two ways:
Through Portfolio Settings
Click My Account (bottom left of your Vyzer account).
Select Portfolio Settings → Synced Institutions.
From the Asset / liability Page
Navigate to the asset or liability you want to update.
Click the three-line menu (top right of the asset page).
Select Manage Synced Account.
Both options take you to the Synced Institutions section, where you’ll find a list of all your connected financial institutions and accounts.
Refreshing Account Balances
If you notice that your bank or brokerage balance appears incorrect, it may not have updated with the latest data.
To refresh it:
On the Synced Institutions page, click the "Sync All Now" button in the upper right corner.
Wait a few seconds to allow Vyzer to pull in the latest balance and transaction data.
This should update your balances to reflect the most recent data from your financial institution. If the issue persists, ensure your institution is still connected and try again later. If the balance still doesn’t update, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
Changing a Synced Account’s Asset Class & Category
Once in the Synced Institutions section:
Locate the institution associated with the account you want to modify.
Click the arrow next to the institution to expand the list of accounts.
Find the specific account you want to edit.
Toggle the account off, and you'll see two options:
Delete this asset and all its history: This removes the asset from your portfolio, but any linked transactions in cash flow events will remain unchanged.
Manage this asset manually: This option keeps historical transactions and balances while allowing you to manage future data manually.
If you choose to delete the asset, toggle the account back on to re-sync it.
When prompted, choose the new asset class and category for the account.
Important Considerations When Changing Asset Classes
Different asset classes pull different data. Moving a synced account from Public Markets to a Cash Account (for example) means that holdings will no longer be displayed, as cash accounts do not track securities.
That’s it! Your account will now be updated with the new classification.
