How to Edit an Item (Asset or Liability) in Vyzer

Learn how to easily edit assets or liabilities in Vyzer, update shared and asset-specific attributes, and keep your financial data accurate and organized.

Editing an asset or liability in Vyzer is simple and helps ensure your financial data stays accurate and up-to-date. Follow the steps below to make edits to any item in your portfolio.

Step-by-Step Guide to Editing an Item

  1. Navigate to the Item

    • Go to your Vyzer dashboard and locate the asset or liability you want to edit.

    • Click on the item to open its detailed view.

  2. Access the Asset Info Tab

    • On the item’s page, below the dashboard, you’ll see a tab titled Asset Info.

    • Click on the Asset Info tab to access the editable attributes of the item.

  3. Edit Shared Attributes

    • Some attributes are available for all asset or liability types. These include:

      • Holding Entity

      • Ownership Percentage

      • Risk Level

      • Liquidity

      • And more.

  4. Edit Asset-Specific Attributes

    • Certain attributes are unique to specific asset classes based on what’s typically associated with them. For example:

      • Real Estate: Attributes include Sponsor/Operator, Property Name, and Property Address.

      • Funds: Attributes include Fund Name and Account Name, along with other shared attributes.

  5. Save Your Changes

    • After making the necessary edits, click the Save button to apply the changes to your item.


⚠️ Important: While you can edit asset details, you cannot change the asset class or category for Magic Box-created or manually added assets. If you need to move such an asset to a different class, please contact support.
